Share who you're meeting, where, and when with a friend or family member. Share your live location during the date. Check in when you're home safely.
A quick video call before meeting in person confirms the person matches their photos. If they refuse video, treat it as a red flag and walk away.
Not for emergencies, visas, plane tickets, customs fees, crypto tips, or 'just this once.' If someone you met online asks for money, it's a scam. Block and report.
If a profile feels off, pushes you off AfroConnect fast, sends unsolicited explicit content, or pressures you to meet, use the Report button. Our team reviews every report.
Don't share your home address, workplace, ID, banking details, or intimate photos. Anything you send can be screenshot and used against you.
Trust your instincts. Leave immediately, contact a friend, and call local emergency services if you're in danger. Then report the profile so we can protect others.
